This poster sketch was inspired by the dread I started to encounter before beginning my internship for Honours. While I survived in the end, the feeling of being like Daniel about to go into the lions' den like his titular book in the bible stuck with me.
Some exploration pen sketches of when I was learning to draw Luke Skywalker. I don't think I'd quite gotten the hang of him, but the top left sketch still makes me chuckle.
One of my favourite things to do when it comes to ballpoint pens which nibs no longer work is to mix the ink with isopropyl alcohol and turn it into a kind of paint. Though, it has the habit of bleeding profusely through the page, making for quite a mess!
A portrait of my friend's original Clone Wars character Lieutenant Strike - a clone trooper with DNA from a different donor, but still every bit a soldier and more as her brothers in the 501st. You can tell by the use of colour pencil I finished Honours!
Sketchbook Best 2023 #4 - Chapter Three
With the second half of my honours starting to come into full swing and demanding plenty of creative work, what resulted was *many* of my favourite pages of sketches and pieces throughout. So, I've decided to split this sketchbook in particular (and further sketchbooks of a similar nature) into chapters to fit the theme.
This was my fourth sketchbook of the year, handmade yet again from an unused life drawing sketch pad. While the sketchbook was used and completed circa June to October, this set of pieces originate from September to October in particular.
My friend's character in the final page, Strike, was made by my friend Swift at swift-creates on tumblr!
