Some rough pen sketch planning of the silly animated short I made featuring friends' OCs and one TCW Anakin Skywalker.
This year marked Spidersaber's first Valentine's Day since the formation of the ship back in late May last year.
Some character design and perspective exercises with some under-utilised gel pens.
Spidersaber's grip on my brain only intensified, to the point where I finally designed one of two of the ship's fankids: Guinevere (Gwen) Darling-Parker. Her vigilante name? Spider-Saber!
A while ago, for a text-based roleplay, I came up with some sketches for Soph if she'd ended up briefly being a Gotham-style vigilante and hung out with the Batfam. It ended up turning towards an Anakin-coded outfit.
More conceptualising for Soph's Batfam vigilante outfit. I decided later on her hero name would be 'Wendybird,' as both a Peter Pan reference and implying a connection to the Robins.
More Gwen/Spider-Saber sketches and notes, featuring her dad in a big ol hug.
I'd missed painting with acrylics, honestly.
Suit design concepts for Spider-Saber. I wouldn't be able to have a full version in this sketchbook in the end.
Some studies of TASM!Peter Parker to try and capture his likeness more easily.
A more dark and gritty version of the dream 'Room Where It Happened' performance from Hamilton where I'd take the lead named role (one song and one song only). I'd found my old brush pen again and had some fun making it creepy.
When my DNA test updated, so did the regions of where my heritage came from. As a certified vampire-hater from Romanian Diaspora, you can imagine how I felt learning this new information.
Sketchbook Best 2025 #1
Some of my favourite pieces from my sketchbooks for 2025 - all of these come from my first sketchbook of the year: an a5 Talens Art Creations mixed media sketchbook. These pages in particular come from January to May.
