Some thumbnailed shot studies of Raiders of the Lost Ark’s intro, particularly from Steven Soderbergh’s black and white cut, also made for study.
A front facing portrait of the main character from Project: Lunar Stride. There was very little, if any paint involved in this. The ink was all from a leaky, then deconstructed ballpoint pen, mixed with whiteout to paint with.
Some observational sketches while on a flight to Sydney for the day.
Some thumbnailing and iteration for a fake comic book cover involving my Spidersona, Blueback. Of course, it was inspired by my upcoming graduation.
Sketchbook Best 2023 #5 - Chapter Two
With graduation on the horizon, there were a couple more emotions to process with the end of this year, but still some time to keep studying. There were too many favourites to choose from, so this sketchbook best is also split into two chapters.
This was my fifth sketchbook of the year, handmade once more with brown kraft paper. While the sketchbook was used and completed circa late October to December, this set of pieces originate from mid-November to mid-December in particular.
