When I couldn’t make it to a friend’s 21st birthday party, I decided to mail a present in my stead: not just a playlist, but a burned CD of said playlist in a proper jewel case and design. I thought to myself: what’s the most emo way I could word ‘twenty-one?’

While it wasn’t until later I noticed print errors and had to make last-minute adjustments to fit the back portion into the case, this gift arrived safely and was received with gratitude and warmth.
