Initially done during the early stages of the pandemic in 2020, this piece was done as student work for an assignment regarding one and two-point perspective of an exterior and interior. Having had this new show idea birthed in 2019, I used the assessment as an excuse to create this as concept art.

Whilst the assignment version had to be submitted in black and white for the sake of tonal clarity and marking, this piece was painted originally within the confines of this overwhelming blue, using a 'color' filter on top of the entire work to check tone and submit the black-and-white version for the assessment.

I'd love to come back to this piece and refine it a little further once I've finished with my undergrad, but I'm still delighted with the design of the stained-glass windows and soft lighting of the pews and stage.
