Soon with the design of Soph's date night dress complete, I wanted to start work on Peter's fancy date outfit straight after. Trouble is, it was unexpectedly more complicated than I thought, and needed a longer period of rest time and conceptualising than anticipated. Working with my co-writer, Peter's author, helped plenty, but it still took enough tinkering in the design and some simplification until I found something we were both happy with.

I'd taken visual cues from the Azeleasdolls Sci-Fi Hero digital doll creator, using it as a foundational base for inspiration, design aspects and even some colour swatching as a jumping off point, before referencing some of my Star Wars visual glossaries for a touch more of that sci-fi feel, but still keep it fantasy-inspired without overly complicated design choices. (The cape idea was directly lifted off Lando Calrissian's outfits in Solo.)
